Analysis on Industry Popularization and Technical Application of PC Brick Machine
A PC brick machine is a special mechanical equipment designed for the professional production of precast concrete bricks. It is mainly used for mass production of municipal and garden concrete products such as PC stone-imitating bricks, permeable bricks, and road curbs. The design, production and inspection of the equipment comply with the industry standard JC/T920-2011 Building Material Industry Block Forming Machine, and the finished product quality inspection follows national specifications including GB/T2542-2019 and GB/T8239-2014. It is a core mainstream equipment for resource utilization of building material solid waste and the production of supporting building materials for municipal infrastructure. Different from ordinary non-burning brick machines, this equipment features an independent double-layer distributing structure, which enables layered forming of base materials and colored surface materials, restores the texture of stone finishes, and adapts to the large-scale production of high-quality paving bricks.
At present, mainstream PC brick machines in the domestic market are divided into three types: small single-station fixed type, four-station rotary table type, and fully automatic assembly line type, which can meet the production needs of small and medium-sized brick factories and large-scale building material enterprises. The complete equipment consists of five core modules: batching and stirring system, layered distributing system, hydraulic vibration forming system, pallet conveying system and intelligent electric control system. All module parameters are designed in accordance with general industrial standards with stable operation and controllable parameters.
In terms of core technical parameters, the raw material metering system of the equipment features stable precision with the material weighing error controlled within ±2%. The base materials for production can be mixed with industrial solid wastes such as construction waste, fly ash, stone powder and tailings, with the solid waste mixing ratio ranging from 60% to 80%, ensuring high resource utilization efficiency. The product forming relies on the coordination of hydraulic static pressure and high-frequency vibration. The hydraulic forming pressure of mainstream equipment ranges from 3MPa to 8MPa, the vibration frequency from 55Hz to 85Hz, and the amplitude from 0.8mm to 1.5mm, all conforming to industrial forming parameter specifications. The forming cycle of conventional equipment is 15 to 23 seconds, and the installed power of small and medium-sized equipment is concentrated at 38kW to 55kW, which can meet the power supply and production load requirements of conventional factories. Equipped with a PLC intelligent electric control system, the equipment can store production parameters of multiple brick types, support rapid mold replacement and production specification adjustment, and adapt to the production of various products.
The production process of PC brick machines features a high degree of standardization and coherent overall procedures. Firstly, raw materials such as sandstone and solid waste aggregates are crushed and screened to obtain qualified aggregates of standard particle sizes for classified storage. Subsequently, the system conducts automatic metering and feeding according to preset proportions, and separately stirs the bottom aggregate mixture and the colored surface mixture for 120 to 180 seconds to ensure uniform material mixing. During production, the double-bin distributing system completes layered laying of base materials and surface materials in sequence, and integrated forming is realized through vibration and static pressure. After forming, automatic demolding is completed, and the green bricks are transported to the curing area with pallets. Under normal temperature curing conditions, the green bricks can reach 75% of the design strength in 7 days and the standard design strength in 28 days. When adopting steam constant-temperature curing at 80℃ to 85℃, the preliminary curing can be completed in 12 hours, followed by surface deep processing such as shot blasting, water milling and splitting.
Calculated based on the mainstream 300×150×60mm standard PC stone-imitating brick, the output of different equipment models shows obvious differentiation, with data sourced from actual production statistics of industrial equipment. The small single-station fixed model has a daily output of about 11,200 bricks with 7 hours of effective working time per shift. The four-station rotary table model features higher synchronous operation efficiency, with a daily output of about 30,240 bricks under the same production conditions. The large fully automatic assembly line model has prominent production capacity advantages, with a single-shift daily output of about 57,000 bricks, suitable for large-scale mass production. By replacing special molds, the equipment can produce various products including stone-imitating bricks, permeable bricks, grass-planting bricks and road curbs. The finished products are widely used in the paving of urban municipal sidewalks, park gardens, community landscapes and non-motor vehicle lanes.
In terms of energy consumption and environmental protection, the new-generation variable-frequency PC brick machines have stable energy-saving performance, with the comprehensive power consumption of finished bricks reaching 17 to 20 kilowatt-hours per ton, lower than that of traditional non-variable-frequency equipment. The measured operating noise of the equipment ranges from 78dB(A) to 84dB(A), complying with the noise emission standards for industrial factories. The complete equipment adopts closed feeding and stirring structures to effectively reduce production dust. The whole production process involves no sintering and consumes no clay resources, which is in line with the national industrial guidelines for solid waste resource utilization and green building material production.
From the perspective of industrial development, the domestic PC brick machine industry has evolved from traditional purely mechanical structures to mechatronic and hydraulic integrated intelligent equipment, with continuous improvement in equipment precision, stability and intelligence level. Most molds are made of alloy materials, controlling the forming dimensional tolerance within ±0.3mm. Domestic equipment manufacturers are mainly concentrated in mechanical manufacturing clusters including Shandong, Fujian, Henan and Guangxi. The products are not only supplied to the domestic building material market, but also exported in batches to Southeast Asia, Central Asia and other regions with strong infrastructure construction demand. Driven by the continuous advancement of sponge city construction, old community renovation and urban landscape upgrading projects, the market demand for high-quality PC paving bricks has grown steadily, promoting the upgrading of PC brick machines towards higher precision, lower energy consumption, full automation and higher solid waste utilization rate.
