The Development and Application Status of Fully Automatic Brick Milling Machines

        Fully automatic brick milling machines are important production equipment in the modern building materials industry, achieving the entire process of brick production through automation and intelligent technology. The core components include a raw material processing system, mold forming system, hydraulic pressing system, intelligent control system, and finished product output system. Key parts must comply with national technical standards such as 'Test Methods for Concrete Blocks and Bricks' GB/T 2542-2019.

        In terms of the production process, the equipment typically uses PLC programmable logic controllers and human-machine interaction interfaces to accurately manage processes such as raw material proportioning, pressure control, and temperature monitoring. Raw materials can include sand, stone, cement, industrial waste, etc., which are crushed, mixed, and measured before being fed into the mold. The hydraulic system applies a forming pressure of 3-8MPa, with a pressing cycle generally ranging from 8 to 15 seconds per mold.

        Technical advantages include increased production efficiency and reduced costs. Industry data shows that intelligent fully automatic brick milling machines can produce up to 500-2000 cubic meters per day, which is 5-8 times more efficient than traditional manual production modes, reducing labor needs by over 70%. The equipment's configured breakage clutch system and intermittent transmission mechanism can reduce mold wear rates to below 1.5%.

        In terms of environmental protection and energy saving, some equipment uses electro-hydraulic drive and waste heat recovery technology, achieving a unit energy consumption reduction of 20%-30% compared to traditional models. The proportion of industrial waste in the raw material can reach 30%-50%, meeting the requirements of 'Technical Specification for Application of Industrial Waste in Building Materials' GB/T 25778-2010.

        Application areas include construction engineering, municipal roads, garden landscapes, etc., and can produce standard bricks, porous bricks, pavement bricks, kerbs, and other specifications. The mold changing system supports rapid switching of forming sizes, with common specifications including 240×115×53mm standard bricks and 390×190×190mm concrete blocks.

        Quality control is achieved through pressure sensors and image recognition technology for online monitoring. The compressive strength of the bricks is stably controlled within the range of 10-30MPa, and size deviations meet the 'Standard for Small Hollow Blocks of Ordinary Concrete' GB/T 8239-2014 standards. Equipment operation noise is controlled below 85dB(A) through sound insulation design, meeting the requirements of 'Industrial Enterprise Factory Boundary Environmental Noise Emission Standards' GB 12348-2008.

        Industry data shows that in 2023, there were about 120,000 fully automatic brick milling machines in China, with an annual output exceeding 1.5 trillion standard bricks, mainly distributed in the East China, South China, and Central Plains regions. With the advancement of building industrialization, equipment is developing towards modularization and intelligence, with some models integrating AI algorithms to achieve fault prediction and adaptive adjustment functions.

        Industry technology upgrades focus on lightweight design and energy efficiency optimization, with new carbon fiber reinforced hydraulic cylinders and photovoltaic power supply systems entering pilot application stages. According to predictions by the China Building Materials Machinery Industry Association, the market capacity for fully automatic brick milling machines will exceed 20 billion yuan by 2025, driving the proportion of green building materials production capacity to exceed 45%.
