On April 15, the 119th China Import and Export Commodity Fair (Canton Fair) opened at Pazhou Convention and Exhibition Center in Guangzhou. It is understood that the overall exhibition pattern and booth arrangement of this Canton Fair have remained stable, with a total area of 1.18 million square meters, a total of 60,233 booths and 24,514 exhibitors at home and abroad. The Guangzhou Fair continued to set up import exhibition areas in the first and third phases, with a total area of 20,000 square meters and a total of 990 exhibition booths. There were 6 exhibition areas with 610 enterprises from 48 countries and regions participating in the exhibition. According to the latest statistics of the organizers of the Canton Fair, 43 306 buyers attended the first day (15 days), an increase of 6.6% over the same period of the 118th (autumn 2015 Fair) and 2.9% over the same period of the 117th (spring 2015 Fair) and 42077 buyers.
This Canton Fair strengthens the construction of "Wisdom Canton Fair", promotes the implementation of "Canton Fair + Internet", and hosts 15 Travel Video investment activities in 15 countries and regions, attracting nearly 1,000 businessmen to participate. At the same time, through the promotion of Facebook, Linkedin and other new international social media and search engines, it has attracted more than 10,000 new purchasers worldwide to register. At present, the number of Facebook fans in the Canton Fair has exceeded 420,000, ranking first in the global industry.
