What Is A Fully‑Automatic Brick Making Machine Equipment Composition And Basic Working Process
-
A fully‑automatic brick making machine is a complete concrete product production system integrating batching, mixing, forming, conveying and stacking functions, rather than a single machine. It adopts a PLC programmable controller to coordinate all mechanisms to complete the full‑set process from raw materials to green brick output. Most products produced by the equipment are non‑fired bricks. They take shape through cement hydration curing instead of high‑temperature firing in traditional kilns. The equipment is also commonly referred to as a fully‑automatic block forming machine in the industry.
The complete production line mainly consists of five functional modules. The first is the batching system, including storage bins, weighing sensors and feeding equipment. It measures and conveys raw materials such as sand and gravel, cement, fly ash and construction waste according to preset formulas. Formula parameters can be stored in the control system for convenient production switching for different products. The second is the mixing system, mostly equipped with a forced double‑shaft mixer. It fully mixes various aggregates, powder materials and water to obtain uniform brick‑making mixtures. The third is the forming main unit, the core of the whole set of equipment. It comprises a frame, hydraulic station, vibration mechanism, mould, distributing trolley and demoulding mechanism. Vibration and hydraulic pressure compact materials inside the mould to form the shape of green bricks. The fourth is the conveying and stacking system, including pallet supply, green body conveying and automatic stacking mechanisms. It neatly stacks demoulded green bricks and transfers them to the curing area. The fifth is the electrical control system, centred on a PLC controller and touch‑screen human‑machine interface. It collects sensor signals from all parts and controls the action sequence of equipment, together with operation status prompt and fault alarm functions. Operators are mainly responsible for parameter setting, equipment inspection and maintenance, and do not need to engage in repetitive work such as material loading and brick unloading.
The complete production process follows fixed timing logic. Raw materials are metered and sent into the mixer for mixing. Mixtures are transported by belt conveyor to the hopper of the forming main unit. The distributing trolley moves to fill material evenly into mould cavities. Afterwards, the vibration mechanism and hydraulic pressing head work together to finish pre‑pressing, pressing and pressure‑holding procedures for material compaction and forming. Upon forming completion, demoulding is performed to send green bricks out of the main unit together with pallets. The conveyor transports green bricks to the stacking station, where stacking mechanisms complete stacking. Green bricks are then moved to the curing site for static curing, and finished bricks are obtained after specified curing cycles. Moulding cycles vary among different models. Conventional equipment completes one cycle within 12‑20 seconds. The cycle changes with brick thickness and material properties.
Products manufactured by such equipment shall comply with relevant national standards. Tests for concrete blocks refer to GB/T 2542‑2019 Test Methods for Concrete Blocks and Bricks. Product strength and dimensional deviation shall meet corresponding national standard requirements. By replacing moulds of different specifications, the equipment can produce standard solid bricks, hollow blocks, perforated bricks, paving bricks, grass‑planting bricks, slope‑protection bricks and other products for various engineering applications.
