Lightweight wallboard production equipment drives the upgrading of the construction industry
The 2023 annual report by the China Building Materials Federation shows that the scale of prefabricated buildings in the country has broken through 850 million square meters, a year-on-year increase of 17%. This development trend has driven technological innovation in new building materials production equipment. A certain manufacturing equipment company recently launched the fourth generation intelligent lightweight wallboard production line, which provides modern solutions for green building material production through process optimization and digital management.
The equipment adopts modular design, integrating processes such as intelligent metering of raw materials, sealed delivery of slurry, and vacuum forming of slab blanks. According to data from the National Building Materials Quality Inspection Center, its single-line production capacity can reach 1200 square meters per day, an increase of 23% compared to traditional models. The accompanying energy-saving temperature control system reduces maintenance energy consumption by 18% and carbon emission intensity to 0.45kg/㎡, meeting the environmental requirements of the 'Green Building Evaluation Standard' for the building material production process.
Public data from the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development shows that China generates more than 2 billion tons of construction waste annually, of which demolition waste accounts for 65%. Lightweight wallboard production equipment can increase the utilization rate of industrial solid wastes such as fly ash and slag micro powder to 35% through optimized raw material ratios. Related technologies have been included in the technical application catalog of the 'Guidelines for the Development of Prefabricated Building Technology (2023 Edition)'.
Research by the China Building Energy Conservation Association indicates that the application ratio of lightweight wallboards in prefabricated buildings has increased from 12% in 2018 to 28%, but the industry still faces significant differences in the level of equipment intelligence. The new generation of wallboard machines, with the help of 5G data interconnection technology, realize cloud synchronization of production parameters, which can improve operational efficiency by 15%-20%.
As the 'Green Construction Specification for Buildings and Municipal Engineering' is gradually promoted, energy consumption monitoring in the building material production process has become a focus of the industry. The energy management system equipped with this equipment can track water, electricity, and gas consumption data in real time and generate visual reports. Pilot enterprise data shows that after system optimization, comprehensive energy consumption per unit product decreased by 12%, and raw material loss rate dropped from 4.2% to 2.8%.
The China Wall Material Innovation Office suggests that manufacturing equipment companies should strengthen collaboration with research institutions. Currently, 12 leading enterprises have established joint laboratories to tackle technical challenges such as improving the mechanical properties of lightweight wallboards and modeling production data. In 2023, the number of industry patent applications increased by 19% year-on-year, of which 43% were invention patents.
