Can permeable pavement tiles drive and park motor vehicles
When it comes to permeable pavement tiles, many people's reaction is to walk on the sidewalk. Yes, the sidewalk uses permeable pavement bricks as the road surface, which has outstanding advantages. So now many cities have paved their sidewalks with permeable pavement bricks.
However, if permeable pavement bricks are only suitable for sidewalks, they will appear monotonous. In fact, permeable pavement bricks can be used not only for sidewalks, but also for lanes and parking lots.
Can permeable pavement bricks be used for driving and parking motor vehicles?
Undoubtedly, there is no problem with this. Motor vehicles that are often driven in cities are usually small cars and buses (large trucks are generally prohibited from entering the city). Therefore, if the strength and laying method of permeable pavement bricks are appropriate, there will be no pressure to meet the driving and parking requirements of these motor vehicles.
According to national standards, as long as the strength of the permeable brick is greater than C30, it is considered a qualified product. This strength permeable brick is used for sidewalks such as squares and garden roads without any problems.
To meet the requirements of motor vehicles, the strength of permeable bricks should be at least C40 or above, and the ideal state is to reach C50. However, the higher the strength of permeable bricks, the more difficult it is to produce raw materials, production processes, and technologies. So, the market price of this high toughness permeable brick will naturally be higher than that of ordinary permeable bricks.
When laying the road surface, in addition to selecting high toughness permeable bricks, attention should also be paid to the laying techniques of permeable bricks. It is recommended to lay permeable bricks based on the type of herring. This reduces the force on the wheels, allowing the bricks to bear the weight of the vehicle.
